A little about Leilani
I’m Leilani, a model and visual creative who’s drawn to quiet details, emotional clarity, and imagery that feels real and relatable.
Through coursework from my Communication Arts and Technology degree at UTech and some self-directed projects, I study visual storytelling, concept development, and creative production. I learn how words, images, and mood can work together to communicate feeling or tell a story. I slowly realised how a single decisive choice can make a difference in how something is received.
I use modelling as another way to express myself and build confidence. Even without formal training, I felt natural in front of the camera. Each shoot helps me step out of my comfort zone and explore different sides of myself. I’m also developing short-form writing, small-scale jewelry making, and simple concept work as part of the ways I shape ideas.
Professionally, I’m focused on opportunities that let me combine modelling with creative collaboration and storytelling: editorial shoots, lookbooks, short narrative projects and brand collaborations, where I am able to contribute ideas as well as skills.
Above all, I want to create work that feels meaningful: something quiet, familiar, interesting and thought-provoking that helps people see how I view the world.
I express best in the moments I don’t force.
Exploring modelling as an extension of who I am.
